I'm coming up on two solid years this November of nothing wrong. It will probably be sold for an electric vehicle whenever those become mainstream so I don't foresee any issues unless it gets totalled.
The BMW was a nightmare of nagging warning lights for every little thing. Low tech where it counts is far more elegant then trying to overthink and be redundant.
