The hold feature is a button on the steering wheel that applies the brake when the car is stopped. You can take your foot off the brake and the car will not move until you press the button or push on the gas pedal. It you have the car stopped for a period of time with the hold button on, the car will automatically go into a park mode, it will display on your screen above the steering wheel and a chime will go off. Not sure how long, maybe 3 minutes ?

Combination of short first gear and odd brake pedal response curve. I agree with others in here -- the LS requires considerably more force than I'm used to with other cars to avoid creeping. I don't really like the hold feature because I feel like it encourages me to be sloppy, but sometimes I use it at long lights just to give my knee a break.

To clarify, this is the exact issue I disliked with respect to the OEM pads. So, I installed Akebono ACT1282(F) & 1283(R) pads, and it is now perfect.

Really?

That is surprising but good to know. I always intended to go with Akebono when it comes time to replace my pads, but did not think it would help with the creeping we experience.

I particularly don't like the hold feature. I like to be aware and in control of my braking at all times. One of my biggest gripes is accidently hitting the hold button and wish there was a way to disable it.

It's a lot more pressure than I'm used to also, because mostly I drive manual transmissions. So there is no trans pressure at a stop. I strongly dislike it when I'm on a downhill grade and having to hold the car back while in D. I frequently pop it into N while stopped.
