Sunroof Tinting
I'm wondering if anyone's tinted their sunroof on the LS460.
Or is the sunroof tinted from the manufacturer?
Please chime in (I don't own the car car, but will hopefully very shortly).

Its tinted, but people do tint them anyways to improve heat rejection.

Just saw one in person. Indeed it's tinted by Lexus by default.
I think it would probably be good to put another layer of aftermarket tint on it, to increase heat rejection as SW15LS indicated.

I wouldn't add additional tint... as it may cause the sunroof to shatter.. as it won't let the extra heat pass through the heat will stay in the glass til the point of fracture

Theres no reason to expect the sunroof would shatter and the other glass would not shatter. Its all tempered glass, save for the windshield and if your model has laminated side windows.

ETA: The use of tempered glass on sunroofs might contribute to the problem. I believe windshields use laminated glass and that side windows made with tempered glass or less susceptible than sunroofs to stress or objects hitting them.

Except that I've read reports on sunroofs shattering. IIRC, on Jaguars. There must be some difference in the glass used for the sunroof (not as thick, maybe?) and/or the amount of heat it's exposed to compared with the other glass on the car. Perhaps it's a design issue, where more stress is put on the sunroof glass.

I tinted mine with 80% just for heat reduction as I live in south florida. 3 weeks or so and no glass shattering yet. The factory in glass tint doesn't reduce heat as well.
I did the windshield as well.

Why not JUST CLOSE THE SUNSHADE???.... I live in Florida where we just had 90° days in NOVEMBER... but tint my sunroof.. PASS. do u know the headache it'll be to remove an reinstall a sunroof glass... PITA!!!!!! same reason I've yet to dynamite my roof (which would drastically lower the roof temp) the ENTIRE top half of the cars interior must be removed not too mention the rear seats....
FYI the Nissan maxima's that had the Panoramic Moonroofs shattered due the darkness of the oem tint. The sunroof is for the most part flat an exposed to the sun for longer periods of time.. ie. It holds more heat longer than any other piece of glass on the car.. the darker it is the more heat it holds with the least heat dissipation.. the fact that some have tinted them an they haven't shattered (yet) is a false sense of security.
FYI our shop won't do it.. due to the liability...

I appreciate all the responses.
I might actually consider LLumar Air Blue 80, in order to avoid the dark tint on the sunroof.
Of course.... I first have to find, and then actually purchase the right LS460
