Is it just me or is it hard to find a used LS?

I will be patient, it is not like my current car needs replacing. It will be hard for me to travel for the right car because I get next to no time off of work and I am returning to college in January. I hope that will change in a couple years once I have my bachelors in accounting.

As mentioned, take your time. I found mine at cargurus,com/. It was the exact color combo I wanted and had pretty much every feature for an 08 swb. I think I got a fair price at the time and the mileage was at 52K. Now I'm at 58K a year a couple of months later. lol.
Take your time and enjoy the ride.

I agree, that 2009 drop is for sure related to the crash.

We all know the long term reliability of the aforementioned brands are not as good as Lexus but the affluent buyer does not care because they dump them for a new model after 3 - 5 years.
Just look at how well the S class recovered in the last few years.

Thanks for posting those numbers on the LS and S550 Lexuslsguy. I had seen the LS numbers here before, but some time ago.
Like when the new LS came out in 2007, the S550 got a sales boost when the new one came out in 2014. I would expect that the LS will get a good boost when the redesigned model debuts.

The 612 is one of my dream cars!
Do you love it?

I am casually thinking about trading my 2012 VW Golf for either a 3rd or 4th gen LS. The closest decent looking one was 1.5 hrs away from me, a 2005 LS430 with 84k for $12.7k. It had paint issues and smelled of "old" person.
Is it just me or are these cars kind of hard to find? It could be my area (NW PA), downs south may be easier.

Consider yourself lucky, I guess. I drove 3.5 hrs for one a month ago.
2008 LS460L
Silver with grey leather and wood trim.
Had the air suspension which was a no go on one without out it.
Had rear memory seats.
98k on the miles.
I'm really happy with it.

Always good advice. I would rather look for a new car in the spring anyway. I don't want to have to buy a set of snow wheels/tires for it right away either.
These really do seem like lovely cars and I look forward to owning one someday.

I waited about 2 years to make sure what I wanted and then started the search. But once I did, it didn't take long to find one. As long as was willing to drive 3-4 hrs. I made sure to check out as many pics as possible to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. It was actually the first one I looked at.
