This is Texas, where TX2K involves 60-200mph sprints.

Well, I cant say that I do it often (never 0-100), but whilst cruising on the expressway, occasionally I will go from 55-85 or 90 for a brief sprint, just to feel the thrust of the power train.
Or to move past traffic...
But regularly throttling the car, no way.
Im not only worried about legal infractions, but I just don't like doing that to the car!
Call me strange...

You don't have to exceed the speed limit to feel full acceleration.

^^^ Very, very true!
Also NickTee, I was down there a few years ago to visit family in Grand prairie, TX, and drove around to Grapevine and to Dallas.
Smooth, vast, wide open highways!

It's not a "stunt" to accelerate onto a freeway or accelerate to posted speed limits. If you're lighting up your tires then that's different.

Having been to NYC many times, your rims and tires would explode in the potholes. hahaha Same thing around me. The roads are so bad around here, I should probably raise the car and put on truck tires.

I frequently accelerate to above posted limits, even to the governor....but it's always in Mexico. There may even be a video or two from Mexico of me burning off old tires, and going 186 on the Busa, but it's legal in Mexico. hehehe

Welcome to Club Lexus!

Congrats on your new car and I wish you good luck with it!

It sounds like you got a good deal. Plus since you plan to keep it for 10+ years the final price really becomes a non-factor. Enjoy it in good health.
