In my area the prices are pretty low...the LS430's are going from 5,000 to 12,000. The older LS460's are all over the map....saw an 07 for $18995 and an 08 for $10,900. When I saw the $10,900 I thought it was a misprint, but it does have 206,000k miles on it, plus some scratches and a little piece of the front bumper is dented, but I still thought that was pretty cheap. And the 07 for $18,995 has 112,000 miles, but it is an L and it's pretty loaded.

Now if you're looking at this company called Carmax (which in my opinion has to be run by crooks), you'll find similar LS460's for $26,000-$30,000 grand...roughly ten grand over Kelly Blue Book values in my area. This Carmax company has a "haggle free" purchasing model, the problem is all their cars are $3,000-$10,000 over book price. Is anyone that stupid anymore to fall for this crap? Apparently so.

Carmax cars are expensive often, I agree. I have had Carmax overpay me for cars several times too, so it can work in your benefit.

Carmax=no haggle pricing
Means customers can't haggle over the predetermined Carmax high selling price or low trade-in price.
Haha!

The SC430 follows the classic car formula: FR platform w/o batteries, visually appealing lines, and convertible or "trick" doors help. Restoration and classic car potential of Sc430's vs LS600hL's could be the driver. Sort of how 1954 300SL is special and the 170S is not exactly.

history: The 300sl is the first production car with direct injection
