I have been driving different vehicles that required premium fuel for over 20 years and I can say with all honesty that I have not noticed much difference in the brands. What I pay attention to is if I see the tanker at the station I make sure I don't use that gasoline because you are surely getting the bottom of the tank.

Years ago, I was pretty much a union 76 guy (premium) for my musclecars. That or Shell.
Right now what I really notice with our car is 100% gas or Ethanol blends...I buy my gas at Costco, and while it is a TopTier gas "with 5x the detergents of other brands"; at least here in Ca, it is also an ethanol blend...and the gas mileage suffers. It's really noticeable in town/city driving. Just craptastic gas mileage with the blended fuels.
