Default Can't Transfer Phone Contacts to Car

2007 LS 460. I have done a search on here and it seems like it should be easy but I am getting a message "lacks object push profile OBEX OPP" Has anyone run into this ? I am using the Bluetooth file transfer program.

Wanted to report back. I finally did it. Here's how:

Started the "transfer phonebook" from the car
Then started the Bluetooth file transfer program I got from the app store.
Followed prompts
Complete in less than 30 seconds.

Hope this helps someone else.

I've had a tough time getting my phone book transferred. With me, it says it's transferring files and looks like it's working, but nothing happens.

phone is a Motorola X. The app is called Bluetooth File Transfer.

I had the same issue with transferring the contacts using the instructions in the owners manual. But what worked for me was to activate that, and while the screen is saying transferring files then open the Bluetooth file transfer program, click send contacts and that did it. If this is not clear enough, let me know and I will walk myself thru it again and get better step by step instructions. I have found that
you have to use/do both to get it to update.

To get the Bluetooth File Transfer program just search using "Bluetooth file transfer android app" There may be several possibilities but make sure you select the one with the Bluetooth logo on a white background. Let me know how it goes.

any links to the exact app. I don't see an app for the iphone called "bluetooth file transfer"

I downloaded something called Share Center and it looks like it's just for photos and music.

When I go into my phonebook in the LS, I get all the way to transfer phone book and when I push it, my phone immediately says it's not connected. So I connect it and go through the whole process again for the same thing to happen.

hmm..not sure if the program I am using supports IOS. I have an android(MotoX) But I believe you are going to have to find a Bluetooth file transfer program from somewhere to get it to work. Sorry I cant be of more help but I have no knowledge of the IOS operating system. I did see a prog called Celeste 2 that may work but it costs $6.99. Worth it if it will work.. I guess the only way to find out is try it.. Hope someone else will chime in. I will do some more research.

The tech guru at Kuni Lexus told me you can't transfer your phone book from an I phone into a 2007. He said they instruct their customers to just say Hey Siri and tell her who to call. That's how I do it and it's smooth. It's really just as good I guess and the Bluetooth works and sounds better than in our new 4 Runner.

Well, he might be onto something. I have an iPhone 6s Plus and cannot get my phone book imported into the LS phone book. As soon as the transfer starts, the Iphone Bluetooth disconnects.

Edit: just did some searching online and it seems that the iPhone can't/doesn't transfer to older Lexus systems. I had no problems with my 2010 rx350 though.

I found several posts on CL, Apple Community and you tube that say it cannot be done with an iPhone. Sorry I cannot post the links as I am not computer savvy enough to do it.

I trust you. But what do I do now? It's nice to know who is calling. The Lexus voice command is useless so it's not the end of the world. But I hate digging my phone up to see if I should answer or not.

i transferred my contacts from the iPhone to an old Samsung, many apps do that, then used the Bluetooth transfer app to load contacts to the car.

Android users have bluetooth file transfer app we can get from our app store and it works perfectly to get contacts in a 2007 to 2009 LS for sure. I have used this method at least 3x.
