Much better! Very sharp.

What did they charge you to do that if you don't mind my asking.

Thank you! I paid $580 because it was a 2 coat process...1st being the Anthracite Metallic, 2nd was the semi gloss. They charge $480 for single coat matte finishes.

The only reason I went here was bcuz they offer same day service. Drop her off in the morning, & picked her up at the end of the day. The price also included PC lug nuts & center cap (other places were quoting $25/each center cap....uhh, that's highway robbery). It also included dismounting, remounting tires & balancing. Other shops wanted wheels w/o tires, and 5-6 days to finish. Maybe the 5-6 days is better for QC??

He hasn't went back yet. He wants this finish in gloss...

hi, I'm thinking that might make the car to dark need something to set it off.

Reviving a half decade old thread…

I wasn’t feeling the grey PC wheels anymore (& I really don’t want to go 21-22” wheels, riding on rubber bands!), so decided to make a change to semi gloss black powder coat.

I personally like the look of all black wheels with the traditional polished lug nuts.

BUT in this case, I think if I were to put back on the polished nuts, it’ll take away the focal point of the rotors & calipers.

BTW, car is on Data System fronts 4; rears 3

I know it’s a personal preference, but just curious what your thoughts on black wheels with polished nuts vs. blacked out?

Data System on “normal” mode.

Data System fronts 4; rear 3.

I'm with you and like that look. I think the chrome "L" on the center cap is all that's needed for a subtle contrast. But I would also change the valve cap to black as well, but that's just me.

I like the black look as well but I wish that cheesy wide strip of plastic chrome on the sides could be taken off these cars.

I don't think the lugnutz colour matters one way or another, black or polished would work for me except the polished wheel lock is homely

I hear ya on the wheel lock!

Chrome side trim never bothered me. I’m assuming it’s held in with clips?
