If anybody wants to see what the 2013+ OEM All Weather Mats look like...
Put mine in tonight, big snow headed for the area.
They're okay, I would have preferred the WeatherTech mats but they don't come with the new locking clips Lexus started using in 2013, so they're only available for the 07-12 LS460. The WeatherTech liners are available, but since I store them 10 months out of the year I want them to be flat.
My main complaint about the OEM Lexus mats is that they're thin, and don't protect up around the pedals as well as even the carpet mats. This is a result of the unintended acceleration fiasco of 5-6 years ago.
Anyways, pics of them installed:

I agree, I like them a lot.
However I do see what you mean regarding the lack of coverage up and behind the brake and gas pedal.
The overall coverage on the passenger side is excellent!
The overall appearance of the mats look great, its just the coverage area that lacks.
Drive safe out there.

Beyond what I said in the other thread, I agree they're definitely nice-looking, and I like the latching mechanism (sturdy, plus it's clean and symmetrical). Adding the model letters to the mats (one of the less-advertised changes of the post-L-finesse, spindle grille era) is also a nice touch.
On a tangentially-related note, I love your interior color combination. I have a love-hate relationship with light-colored leather, but it looks sharp. The black carpet provides a nice contrast and is also much more practical that the old grey that used to accompany/match these seats. You've probably seen this, but if not, there is someone here with an '07/'08 from back in the day who swapped his carpet. Very cool project, but I digress.

I think they added the model names also in response to the unintended acceleration issue. The car that started it all the dealer had mats for the wrong model installed.
Thank you! Yes I much prefer the black carpets. I like the contrast, and it definitely keeps the carpets from getting dingy, etc.

Makes perfect sense! That thought had not crossed my mind, though I do remember reading about this at the time. RX passenger mat in driver's side of ES, if memory serves me right.

I would buy those for sure but they aren't compatible with the new twist locking mechanism.
My mats are doing fine a couple weeks in, keeps the nastiness out of the carpet at least!

That's a good catch (the fact that they won't snap-in)! Having said that, last I checked, I believe these were being discontinued anyway (even though it sounds like you can still get them). My 460L had them - brand new, unopened - when I got the car, and I kept them. They do work well.

Steve and I would absolutely love a newer plush set but like he reminded me they won't snap in. I have a set of previous 460 all weathers in my car and the bunch up all the time so I took them out. Ordering new all weathers that fit my model year properly and will hope they offer a deep pile for our years in the future.
