Soft close door.

Double check the door jamb switches (that turn the interior lights on and off). If they are flaky they will screw with the signaling system and the door won't close. I had the soft close not work on one of my doors until I realized that the switch was sticking. I ended up replacing 2 of them on my car; they are $20 a pop at the dealer and you can replace it yourself with a screw driver and 5 min of patience.
The soft close motors on my LS430 are 15 years old and still work; so they seem to be fairly long lived.

We have discussed the defective doorjamb switches in several threads in our forum. Here is a link to a thread that might be helpful:

Yeah i read that post. I tried mine and it all worked fine. I am taking it to the local dealer next thursday. See what they find. No big loss if i can't fix it on the cheap.
Bigger things to fix like new struts and some front control arms.

All I know is replacing mine fixed the issue; you could swap a switch from a known good door and see if that resolves the issue.
Good luck!

I will do that tonight. I found this on online the other day and i tried it on all the doors. The passenger side pulled in like to soft close but the drivers side doors didn't.
Just thought i would share this here.
