Hi all, my name's Brandon. Like an awkward seatmate on the subway I've been jumping into conversation without introducing myself, so I'm addressing that now. I recently purchased a 2008 LS600hL with only 87k miles and in generally great condition. There have been some small issues that I've posted about, but even with those costs included I still feel it was a good purchase.
I've considered a hybrid LS in the past but never actually purchased one until now. I've had a number of BMWs from an i3 to an E60 M5, an Audi S5, and a couple of Volkswagen Phaetons, one of which I replaced with the LS. I do all of my maintenance and repairs myself, and this last Phaeton proved to need more than I anticipated and have the time for. I've done jobs as big as an engine rebuild and a couple of manual transmission refurbs but I'm not a professional mechanic; by day I'm an IT engineer specializing in the AWS platform and Kubernetes.
I primarily ride bikes these days and the LS is mainly for especially nasty weather. I could post a picture of the car but I'm sure everyone has seen plenty of mercury over light grey 600h's. Instead, here are the motorcycles: a BMW F650GS, the original thumper model, and a BMW R1200R. The last one is from a trip to Colorado, just below the summit of Pikes Peak outside Colorado Springs.
Interested in anyone's knowledge on what package(s) I have on this car. If there's a VIN decoder feel free to point me in that direction.
You can create an account at lexus.com, add your VIN, and that will show most of the equipment on the car. It will also allow you to view any service history from Lexus dealers.
If you want the complete details and packages I suggest signing up at techinfo.toyota.com; $20 gets you 48 hours of access. This is primarily the technical resource for service manuals and module updates, but part of the functionality is a lookup by VIN which will show standard equipment and packages, date of production, and a history of where and when recall work was performed:

I am a proud owner of this 2007 LS460 Wald. After a 1 year of ownership, I can tell you that she is amazing. I just love her so much.
I did some modifications:
*Changed the height of the car. The information that you can just adjust the height of this car by turning 1 screw on every corner of the car, was a blessing from heaven. I still have 2 positions. On the photo it is new "normal". But I can raise it up if needed from a button.
*Installed original multi piece BBS Style 101´s. 20x9 20x10
*Custom exhaust. Makes very nice sound.
Drives very well.
Sitting real nice! Can you provide link to procedures to adjust screws? Thanks.
Sorry... this went in the wrong location as I scrolled to the bottom and hit reply... should be in the new member / roll call... (newb)
New to the forum, just bought a 2009 LS460 AWD w/ 63k on the clock... All seems to be well and very glad I found the car. AWD is awesome in our storms and although I came from a tuned VW Passat TDI, this car is a lot of fun.
Look forward to searching and reading on best audio bluetooth, remote start, exhaust and a weird high beam / low beam mismatch in pattern but overall very happy with the car. I have not road tripped yet but 30 mile drives seem to be returning decent mileage for the AWD and weight.
Hello everyone, just want to know who has a 2007 LS460 with high mileage and hows it running. I just recently replaced my starter at 193,600 miles, the car runs fine but still needs the High-pressure fuel pump seals replaced, they leaked down onto the upstream O2 sensor and cause it to code. Also, my traction control light is on with the check engine light and for some reason, my cruise control doesn't work when these lights are on. Any suggestions?

You should create a specific post in the generation 4 section for this question, not here. You'll get a better response. I have a 2007 LS460 with 185,000 mi. Mine is running fine, as most people's are at that mileage. We are all expecting to get into the 300,000s, One of the reasons we have a Lexus. I replaced the original starter 3 years ago. I did the fuel pump seals last year with the valve cover gaskets. I don't know about the engine light. A mechanic with a code reader can tell you more. Good luck.

Cheers,
I went with this for a BT receiver to pay music from my phone, and utilize aptX quality.
Daniel in Eastern North Carolina, got a 298,000 mile 2014 LS 460 AWD (white?) with the tan interior. Picked it up from marketplace for 13,800. The car was serviced ever 5-6,000 miles from Lexus up until 12/2022.
Howdy everyone! Been lurking on CL for a while and had to find out what this LS hype was all about! My new-to-me 2015 LWB, RWD, one-owner, 41k miles, non-air, ML, and a few other goodies. Perfect addition to our Land Cruiser fleet for a more refined ride around town.
I picked up a 2007 LS460L 3 weeks ago and I love it. It’s going to be a Saturday/Sunday Vehicle and stay garaged. It had 2 owners and a 149,000 miles. Had all control arms, sway bar links and valve gasket/spark plug seals, fuel pressure rail seals and 02 sensors replaced, new tires maintenance performed before I picked it up. Upon history of maintenance it had a new abs pump actuator around 50k miles. I love the V8 and cruise factor. I got rid of my garage 19’ q50S for it, didn’t trust the turbos and reliability.
I also have my daily driver a 07’ Rx400h that is a fun toy to blast long trips or short bursts through town.
Look forward to this group! Garage dwellers. 149k miles Daily driver 253k miles
Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster. Here's my new- to-me 2012 LS460. Picked her up a little less than a month ago from a friend of the family, who is also the original owner. 124k on the odo, all work done as scheduled at Flow Lexus in NC. Bone stock. Just added 35% tint last weekend (not pictured).
