got her for 22k. seller was a great guy even filled her up before he met me. threw in his dash cam (which i promptly removed)
and gave it to me clean. i dont think i couldve made a better deal.
Great price, congrats. If you haven't , sign up to drivers.lexus.com to get maintenance records and more. Being different than the 430, Suggest you change all fluids at this mileage. Trans, coolant, brake, diff. In my experience spark plugs are good well past 100k. Front seat air filters are likely filthy, clean MAF and throttle body. You'll be good to go for many happy years!
Just bought a 2009 LS 460
From a father of a friend who mostly lives abroad and barley used it . It has ONLY 23,194 original miles (one owner) dark green , beige interior . Car is in excellent condition except the door panels , center console, under steering wheel panel and glove compartment . As they were mostly abroad they missed the Lexus recall for the melting/sticky material. I ordered some new parts (the least expensive ones) and had a upholsterer deal with the most expensive ones.... still working on it .
I paid $9,000 USD for it and I think I won't pay more than $2,500 for the parts and repairs . I think is still a pretty good deal and with the low millage I hope I have car for a good number of years to come .
Now I hope to get advise from you the experts on this forum, even though it has been garage kept and has little use , the transmission oil is 14 years old ...I should change it right? any suggestions of what else should I do to the car maybe flush change break oil , radiator fluid, spark plugs ? I will try to get the maintenance history at the Lexus dealer but any advise will be more than welcome, thank you !
Welcome and congrats. Read the FAQ at top of forum so you know more about the LS. Suggest you create a post in the appropriate spot to get "startup" advice from as many members as possible. Definitely flush brakes and coolant and oil change. When you post, ask again about what else to do to get the car up to speed.
SWFLA thank you for your prompt reply and suggestions . Can you please tell me which is the right spot to create the post , sorry but I am new in here and completely lost. Thank you

I bought a burgundy pearl 265,000 mile '91 Lexus LS 400 for 3,400 from a church group that sells donated cars. Drives great, but needs lots of cosmetic work. Upholstery has rips and needs to be covered or replaced. Steering wheel adjustment motor doesn't function. Driver's side window won't roll down. The display for the a/c doesn't function. Hood, top and trunk paint is completely faded away. Other than that, it's a great car ready to be upgraded into something sweet.
When you get your new (or new to you) LS please introduce yourself and your vehicle here!
Tell us some details about your new Lexus including:
- Model and package (460L, 600h, F-Sport, etc)
- Color of the exterior and Interior
- Options
and congratulations!
Hello, have a Brown and Saddle color interior. 2013 LS 460. Bought with 42,000 miles in 2017. I have 126,000 on it now and electronic power steering is acting up around 5 mph and can hardly turn. Anyone else?
