New to me 2014 LS460. Kentucky car good service history 141k miles. Bamboo/parchment, upgrade leather and Mark Levinson. SWB, RWD. This is before clean up. Not showroom but but not bad, rides and drives great.
Welcome to the club! I joined a month and a half ago with a new-to-me 2017. It’s sublime. I’m still discovering new features as well as finding out which ones are no longer supported by Lexus (Enform suite), leaving this otherwise great former flagship woefully unconnected.
I had been looking at/ for LS460 for quite a while. As I've had high end German cars, I e. BMWs, M-Bs, Porches; my 1st Focus was Maintenance. Like my German cars, a LS460 is a High Tech. Without following, the Factory schedule, these cars will go South over time, and will be a Big Money Pit.
My 2nd Focus the condition of the car, no major accidents, color E&I overall condition.
My 3rd Focus was that I wanted I wanted the latest year I could afford.
Sadly, all of the cars I listed above, are long gone, when I retired.
You know, I could make this extremely long, but let me cut to the chase. My most used search engine was CarGurus. Around 3 weeks ago, I was casually looking at LS460s.
I saw a 2011 LS460 in a Dealership in Sr. Mary's, Ohio, Population 8,400. I live close to Columbus,Ohio, but I used to live close to St.Marys in the past I seriously doubt if there are 2 or 3 Lexus cars in town, but I digress. The car was a RWD, which was OK. It was a one owner, who must have traded it in for something else. It moved among 2 dealers and then to auction where the St.Marys' got it. I ran a Carfax on it. Mileage was 133K.
It had 1 accident, a side-swipe from the rear passenger door to the back bumper. Paint match is close.
The kicker is that the car is m had had Every Lexus recommend maintenance done, all at a Lexus Dealership. I ran a scanner on the car; zero codes. The Lexus Site have me more reassurance that the car is in good condition. My test drive was uneventful
Ended up trading my 2009 Toyota Venza for the LS. Price was $13,500
Am I happy? AbsoFreakinlutely.
I'm also glad to have joined this Forum.
