Floor mat logo
Not sure if anyone else had/has the same issue, but my driver's floor mat logo came off. I tried super gluing it down, but it came back off. I do not one want to buy new mats, so was curious if anyone might have a good recommendation to try for a long-term fix? I am thinking I should try to cut off the old factory glue so it has a fresh surface to stick to.

Yeah, you need to really clean the surfaces prior to gluing, then maybe stick a very heavy book or weight on it for a while. Also should be done indoors and out of any humidity if possible.
Honestly, though, in looking at the condition of your mats, maybe it's time for new ones? I linked some online Lexus parts stores that offer them less than counter prices.
Good luck, though!

I used a brick to weigh it down when I first glued it. Super glue was all I had around the house.
I noticed when I posted that the mat looks much dirtier than it is. All of the other mats in the car are close to perfect as I rarely have passengers, so $250 for new mats that are just going to get dirty again b/c of the color is not appealing to me. I can't stand seeing the missing logo every time I step into the car.
After removing the old glue, should I try super glue again or is there another product that might give better results?

Floor mats aren't $250, OEM mats can be had online for less than $100.

I would definitely try another glue. Gorilla Glue or there's a really good 3M adhesive that works well. Both takes a bit to cure and requires a very clean, non-contaminated surface, but will last forever if properly used and cured. Scrape everything off on both surfaces and clean it up best you can.
Get the rubber ones! Black contrasts nicely with the parchment or grey interior. I plan on keeping the rubber ones year round and they never show dirt that can't be easily wiped off.
You can get the rubber ones for less than $100 too. Steve has a thread that shows what they look like.

The rubber ones are great for winter, but I still think the carpet mats make the interior feel more luxurious...

You have winter in Hawaii? lol
Thinking about this, our carpets are black, yours are parchment aren't they Rhambler? I find the carpeted ones easier to clean, I have to scrub the all-weather ones, etc.

Thanks all.
Sw15 - Didn't realize they could be had that cheap. Something to consider at that price.
I will try gorilla glue and a good cleaning with the wet vac.

Gorilla Glue is pretty awesome! Make sure you place enough around the edges and interior, but not too much where it squirts out the side when you clamp it or put pressure on it. It takes a while to cure, up to 24 hours, but it starts to stick immediately. Just read the instructions or see "how-to videos" on Youtube. Also, the higher the relative humidity, the longer it will take to cure, considering you're living in Florida.
Good luck!
