That very point was covered early on. If the DW was every guilty of Gnarling the **** or any other part of the LS with her jewelry there would be hell to pay. To her credit she has shown great care for how she handles the **** and drives the LS in her twice weekly alone time with it.

I have to say then, that you're pretty fortunate in that regard.
My wife doesn't drive the LS much, but when she does, it seems like upon the return, there was almost always something different or wrong, even if its minute, it was still returned not like it was when it left out.
So now she rarely asks to drive it.
It helps a bit when it snows out here, because then she'd rather drive her AWD Pilot.
She's driven it once since the gnarling incident, and I specifically asked to her "please" remove any rings you may have on your right hand, and please be mindful of your use with the left hand!
Thankfully, the steering wheel has remained unharmed during the composing of this and former threads.
If I had a pre-2013 LS this is what I would get, from the 600:
Thats actually one of the things I don't care for about my 2015, they did away with the wood shifter **** and replaced it with a brushed metal one. Can't swap them really because of the shift boot the 13+ has:
There used to be (or perhaps still is) on eBay a 600hL **** like the one Steve posted that was less than $100. It wasn't "authentic" (i.e., the "real thing" retails for $800 or $900), but the match was almost perfect.
It did require a little installation trick, as the height wasn't quite right upon tightening, but that was minor. I had it on my 460L and sold it when I got rid of the car.
Separately, the wood on the original 460 shift ***** did discolor noticeably over time...

The only issue with that shift **** is having to match the wood grain color. They generally are never the same and that is what drives me crazy about my current one.
I found a J-spec **** that happened to have the same color as my interior.....very lucky on the match.
For those interested, I'm 99% sure MrMark's **** is the IS-F Red Interior Shift **** if I'm not mistaken; however, as for the rest of his interior goes....NOTHING else about it is "off the shelf" lol
so I know there is that one, however the strings are bright blue and the carbon fiber doesn't match the aluminum trim the car already has.
Anyone know of any suppliers who make ones that look similar to the styling of the OE one? Was looking at aluminum /piano black/ grey stitching to match the FSport trim.
Also what is the difference between the American Market and the JDM LS460 FSport Shift ****? The OE one has a non symmetrical shape to it. Does that mean this one is flipped for right handed driving?
