My 2013 GS had a much louder tapping noise at idle.

Does anyone in here notice a whining noise while accelerating from 0-40 mph? It is on my ls460 but the dealer says it’s normal too.

Depends on the nature of the noise. If it's a lower frequency engine/transmission "whone" then it's normal. If it's a higher frequency electrical-like whining then its a known issue in 2013-2015 cars and there's a TSB to fix it.

its more of a higher frequency. both dealerships i took it said it was normal. I contacted lexus corp themselves regarding that tsb you mentioned about. My car is 2016. Dont know if it is valid ir not due to the year
