Actually, any LS460 should be able to easily get 28mpg on the freeway at a steady 70-75mph. I frequently get 30-31mpg on a 400 mile trip on I81 (notwithstanding all the trucks)!

In 2019 i used to get 27mpg for daily commute (80% highway). now i only get 23 mpg for the same commute.
reason could be
older tire
dirty throttle body
older spark plugs

I say why reinvent the wheel. Lexus has put a lot of R & D into these cars.

I feel safe that if more air flow helped they would have figured that out. I consider it a finely tuned engine so why mess with that.

A dream, no a fantasy, when you deal with traffic. My commute is a 2 lane highway that is always traffic on, it moves but, there is a lot of slow down and speed up things though out all the commute.

No way I could see 27+, I will see 20-21 sometimes but normally around 18-20

Traffic sucks... no other way to put it..
