Default Buying 2011 LS460 price check. PLease help.

Hi all.

Found the car, 2011 CPO LS460 with ML and 19" wheels. 62K miles - $31K plus tax.
What do you guys think ? First I was excited and thought that for CPO it's a good price, but now I have a second thought. Here is the car :

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...21064064&Log=0

Please advice.
Thank you.

I wish I could do it It's $31 plus tax.
You also just bought LS..yes ? Using your deal for comparison - I feel like I will overpay about $1500. This car is 1 year younger, almost 20K miles less driven and CPO. Decision..decisions )

$36,000 or $31,000? It's on AutoTrader for $36K.

$36,000 is way too much IMO. Also, your profile says NY, this is not an AWD one like you'll see up here (I'm in NJ).

$31K CPO'd is fair. Car has some neat equipment... Advanced Parking!

It's $31K plus tax and dmv fees. They can ask $80K ...nobody will give them
Yes, I'm in NY, but I don't need AWD. I'm specifically looking for RWD car. My criteria is ML sound, 19" wheels, heated everything. I really like the color of this interior and wood. I know it will be a headache to keep it clean, but it's my second car, so I think I'll be fine. Our first is Mercedes GL350 and it's black inside and out

I didn't even look at the ad and was just going by your numbers in post.

36K+ TTL is WAY off.

I honestly and truly wouldn't pay penny one over 32K OTD for it, and i'd still start at 31K OTD.

32K OTD ? for CPO car ? 2011 ? Are you kidding ?

It may be coincident, but the car is actually sold today and it happened after I posted this message. The car was on their lot for at least 2 months.... It looks like somebody from that area is reading this forum )

Anyway...I'll find another one.

Shame you missed out, $31K was a decent price.

They probably had it for 60 days because of where it was priced... Sheesh. $36K...

FWIW, with 6-7% Taxes $31-32K OTD is not realistic for a CPO like that.

And my tax rate is 8.875%.
The good part of missing it - it is 2 owners car, first owner is commercial, second is personal. Also I could not find any service records on Lexus website. It's okay, I'll find another one, no any doubts

That's over 10K more than I paid for my 2010 with 15K miles more. Figure the miles, trim and year difference is about 2K. (Remember mine is a sport) So now we are up to 28K.

Sure it may be a CPO but that adds at best 2-3K to the price tag. Now 30-31K

33-34K OTD is fair. 31-32K would have been great!

This is the Cargurus listing:

http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...ting=135090221

The price went from vastly overpriced to a fair price. I suspect someone was keeping an eye on it already, and just waiting for the price to fall. Dealers can be stubborn about facing reality in pricing.

The conmercial use might or might not have been a matter of concern. That would have required looking into. The lack of online service history would be a concern if no service records were available. Not all CPO's are the same in terms of quality.

The bottom line is that you'll find another, perhaps one with a single owner and a documented service history.
