Default VIN clarification

Re: control arm issue- "From the TSIB, for 2WD LS460s, the VIN cutoff for control arms is JTHBL5EF#A#0984"

I want to be sure JTHGL5EF1A5040140 is beyond the referenced VIN. In essence, I want to make sure this car was manufactured beyond the date of when they addressed the control arms.

Thanks for all the help. May make an offer on a '10 certified...would any control arm issue I face be covered by the certified portion?

Certified cars have different stipulations. Ask before you buy.

CPO covers the control arms.

CPO on a 2010 is 2 years unlimited mile warranty. You can add +5 years to that as well. I'd think that in the next 7 years the car will need control arms, warranty should pay for itself.

Hi. I just got my CPO 2010 LS. In case I'd like to buy additional 5 year warranty - do you know the best source where I can get it and approximately how much would it cost ?

Thank you.

Hi, I did some comparison shopping from various Lexus dealerships recently for my used 2014 LS. The best rates were quoted by Toby Rivers. I intend to buy my Platinum VSA (8 years, 125,000 miles) from him soon. You can get a Platinum VSA for unlimited miles on a CPO vehicle. Please contact Toby.
