Chase it down - hard. Don't take no for an answer. Call Lexus USA and tell them you are aware of the special warranty and you are very very disappointed in them and the local dealer. Suggest you may need to go public with the issue by calling your local TV news consumer reporter. Don't be a sheep about it. They messed up and need to take ownership for it. Toyota / Lexus IS not going broke. They can afford to fix their errors.

Default C1247 code "stroke sensor" my pump was replaced 5 years ago

Does anyone know what to do when you get a C1247 "stroke sensor" code. I erased the code and disconnected the battery. Worked okay for about 20 miles and then the dash lit up. Anyone have experience with the "stroke sensor" as I see C1247 code come up on Tundra and Prius forums also.

Hi, could you please provide the office you contacted at Lexus Corporate that dealt with the enhanced warranty for the brake actuator? Thanks in advance.

I suggest getting it done before Dec 31 2016 to be sure.. Note the Primary Coverage vs. Secondary Coverage conditions.

The New part number should be verified per Warranty Policy Bulletin 16-01 (released April of 2016).

See the Warranty Enhancement Program - ZLG which says in part:

"This Warranty Enhancement Program provides enhanced coverage to the vehicle’s “New Vehicle Limited Warranty” as it applies to the Brake Actuator Assembly. The specific condition covered by this program are repairs related to an internal malfunction of the Brake Actuator Assembly. If the condition is verified, the vehicle will be repaired with a new Brake Actuator Assembly at no charge under the terms of this Warranty Enhancement Program.

* The Primary Coverage offers warranty enhancement until December 31, 2017, regardless of mileage.
* After the Primary Coverage end, the Secondary Coverage is applicable for 10 years from the date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

This coverage is for warranty work performed at an authorized Toyota dealer only. It is subject to the same terms and conditions set forth in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty Section of the Owner’s Warranty Information booklet. For example, damage from abuse, an accident, theft and/or vandalism is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or this warranty enhancement."

I believe the new part number is # 44050-50150 which replaces part # 44050-50130. A 2009 Service Bulletin also mentions issues with the Brake Actuators in the LS 460 and refers to an "improved part", clearly demonstrating Lexus was aware of the faulty part... (L-SB-0178-09). The New part number should be verified per Warranty Policy Bulletin 16-01 (released April of 2016).
Thank you all for the information related to the brake actuator failure in LS460's, as it saved me a lot of $$$$$$. I experienced the ABS/Brake failure in my 2010 LS460 (129,010 miles) and because of all of the information in this thread, I called my local Lexus dealership (JM Lexus), spoke with a service representative and was told I made the cutoff by 3 months (Dec.25,2019,,,10 year service date). So I brought the car in today and was advised the brake actuator and related components were covered under the (Extended Warranty), no questions asked! I truly appreciate all who contributed to this thread and hope others have the same experience I had.

Is anybody able to confirm that the latest part number for the brake actuator is 4405050110? My searching shows this PN for all LS460 and LS460L from 2007-2017 and LS600h L from 2008-2016. My actuator squawking is getting more frequent and I am considering replacement. FYI, I first noticed light squawking from the actuator at 77,600 miles and I now have 156,500 on the clock.

I had my '11 LS 460's replaced under warranty in August, 2019. Ticket showed "replaced leaking brake actuator, part no 04003-45450, actuator assy, brake".

I was at my local Lexus Dealership last Friday 18DEC2020 for an oil change on my recently acquired 2011 LS460 AWD. The service adviser said the brake actuator warranty is up in 2021 or up to 150K miles. My car's mileage is just over that, as such it is not qualified for the free replacement under the warranty.
I will try a different dealer or service advisor. I will also check with Lexus Corp.

According to Bell Lexus, the latest part number is 44050-50170, for $1870 - https://parts.belllexusnorthscottsda...405050150.html

I also noticed that they're selling an older version,
44050-50110, on ebay for $1056. I guess you take your chances with that. https://www.ebay.com/i/233357069333?...xoCP_MQAvD_BwE

I have been tracking CL members' reports on the part numbers of their replacement of LS460/600 brake actuators. The most recent reported part number is 44050-50170. The next most recent reported part number is 44050-50130. One CL member (Jud149) reported an odd part number for LS460: 04003-45450. No one else reported that part number. Hope that this information is helpful.

That part number that he posted seems to be an updated part number according to this thread.

Good catch and good memory! Most, if not all, dealers and online stores don't carry 04003-45450 at this time.
