DIY Instrument Cluster Dashboard Removal
#31
Entire write up is pointless. Cluster removal does not require all that disassembly - just plain bezel removal. 2 clips on the top of the bezel - be aware these are not screws but screw type clips, and require very gentle screw out without prying forward. Start removing bezel from right bottom, than left -this one is tough and require bending of the bezel inward. This really takes 10 minutes to replace cluster and none of the things described here needs to be done!
But be careful not to gouge the dash panel on either side of the column when reinstalling the cluster bezel!!
I was so concerned with not scratching the top of the dash above the cluster, I totally murdered the dash panel that is below the buttons on the cluster bezel.

I just want to remove the black plastic bezel in front of the cluster because my son scratched mine up and I purchased a replacement. The two plastic screws in the bezel that screw through the top into the dashboard just spin and do not come out. Any tips on out to get them out? They are phillips plastic screws with a plastic ring around the center phillips part. I try to take them out with no luck. Please help
I had to drill through it and yank it out with a hook tool.
