Man oh man, I hate to hijack here, but I gotta ask, up until the shock replacement, and at that mileage point, I doubt anyone would complain, how has that car treated you regarding reliability, durability, comfort and performance?

Fantastic car...so far.
The shock replacement was needed, due to hitting a curb. I subsequently also had to replace the steering rack $1800.

My customers love the vehicles.

I've the 2014 & a 2016 Signature model. I use them in my limo/car service fleet.

I would only use OEM struts. Non OEM struts will change the character of your car.

Years ago I replace OEM struts with Monroe struts on my Infiniti L30t and it changed the car’s driving experience completely and I feel like it is not a Infiniti anymore. So I changed back to OEM struts and right away I feel I got my Infiniti back

That depends on the manufacturer. For example, replacing the OEM shocks/struts with KYB will not alter anything. They are the manufacturer of the OEM units in the LS. You just have to pick the right shock model (they make 2 types). Unless your using a performance rated shock, the OEM style valving of a given unit will perform the same or very similar to the OEM. The only shocks available for our car is the one I quoted and KYB. Monroe, Bilsten. Koni, Gabriel, etc do not make a replacement.

the dealer said my two rear struts are leaking on my 2011 LS with 60k miles.

That is why I always get ECP when I buy pre-owned luxury car. I will sell it once the ECP is expire.

When I buy pre-owned, I avoid car that doesn't have a very nice drive but don't fail to the specs. because those can't be fixed by ECP.

Are you talking about me? I get 2 rear struts replaced at the dealer under warranty. they charge insurance company for $460 parts and 3 hours for labor . You will pay 30% more if not through warranty.

Sure.

I replaced all four shocks/struts about 3 months ago. Replaced with units I bought on Ebay from this vendor: http://www.ebay.com/usr/************...72.m2749.l2754

I paid 150 dollars for all four. I've driven about 5k miles on them so far. Ride is great and feels new again. Obviously, longevity remains to be seen, but the quality of the shocks seem good, and they perform as they should. I had them installed by a large tire chain here in Canada along with my front control arms and ball joints. My only other options was KYB, but they were 3-4 times the price and no way would they give me 3-4 times the performance or longevity. It was a no-brainer for me.
