I paid 150 dollars for all four. I've driven about 5k miles on them so far. Ride is great and feels new again. Obviously, longevity remains to be seen, but the quality of the shocks seem good, and they perform as they should. I had them installed by a large tire chain here in Canada along with my front control arms and ball joints. My only other options was KYB, but they were 3-4 times the price and no way would they give me 3-4 times the performance or longevity. It was a no-brainer for me.
Sounds like a good deal. They're still going for $199 shipped on Amazon, I might go ahead and buy them, thanks.

I just cannot imagine how a $37.50 shock can deliver the same ride quality as the car originally had...

That means you paid more per brake rotor than you did per shock which seems crazy to me...my concern would be a few thousand miles down the line is it going to maintain the ride quality you have now...

I sure wish Bilstein or Koni made shocks for the LS. I'm sorry roadfrog, but that's what I'd buy. I want more shock control than oem, not less. I know that's only a dream.

Fair enough. KYB is your only other option. All I know is these shocks eat up wallows and bumps in the road like it used to before the factory shocks wore out. And lets face it, other than the labor to replace them, It was an easy decision with little to lose cash wise. I have a warranty for one year, so it was the right choice for me.

Holding up great. No issues so far and don't anticipate any. Put lots of miles on them. Lets face it....shocks are pretty low-tech so unless they start leaking or something, they should be fine. Again, little to lose considering the cost. Even of I replace them tomorrow, I figure I got my moneys worth at only 150 dollars or so.

WOW, even looking at this being very tempted just because of the cost. Riddle me this, As I don't think these are an EASY DIY, what can I expect on hours for a small shop (good guys, know their crap) to do this job ? (trying to figure out total cost)

Alldatadiy quotes 3 hours to do the front both sides and rear at 4 hours both sides. That said, my local shop did not take nearly that long to do. I'd say 4-5 hours all in tops and that would include a 4 wheel alignment.

Bought the shock/struts off this link on this tread. Just had them installed a 97,000 miles. Neither or my Indy can tell a difference. $375 to install, special price for me.

Another happy customer! Yes....they feel like the originals, I couldn't tell a difference either, nor could my shop. They said they seemed like good quality. Like I said, it's only been a few months, so time will tell, but at the price I paid, I didn't figure there was much to lose.
