Default 2011 LS460 AWD "Transmission issue"

Hello all:
I have a 2011 LS 460 AWD. Currently @ 19,500 miles. Unfortunately, I have noticed a slight transmission "skip" or "flare" between 2nd-3rd gear. To be fair, this only occurs after a cold start and lasts for the first few times that I accelerate. After that, no issues. it will operate perfectly. The dealership completed the latest TSB, and they assure me that this is a "characteristic" of the car. Has anyone else experienced this? I purchased this LS back in July from a local Lexus Dealership. Certified Pre-owned with only 18,000 one owner miles. First used car purchase for me in over 20 years! Very good car. Not perfect though. Just my opinion. If I had paid 80k,I would have been disappointed, but as I paid 38k with a two year CPO Warranty, I don't feel too bad. I am hoping to have the car for at least 10-12 years. Thank you for your input!

My 2011 RWD does this every morning. Usually just the first time through the gears then its fine.

My 2007 has 98k and does the same thing you and Teedub21 describe. With yours just shy of only having 20k, this my be normal ?? I am going to have a transmission "flush" at my Lexus dealership soon. If it improves with that, I'll let you know.

+1, with only 26k miles. Especially noticeable if I'm in ECO mode and accelerating gently.

Both of our LS460s do this, 2011 RWD Sport and 2012 AWD. It's a quirk of the Aisin AA80E transmission. It's the B1 Band disengaging before the C3 clutch has a chance to fully apply.
