My 07L has 92k bought at 88k. I checked all the service records on the lexus site and the air struts have never been touched to my knowledge. As of this moment i know my right rear strut is leaking oil and needs to be replaced... car still levels and drives fine, minor thumping noise present once in a while due to shock not dampening properly.
Compare the ls460 air suspension to my w220 s500 or other air ride equipped vehicles the ls460 struts have lot less issues. That being said... any vehicle equipped with air suspension is going to degrade and fail at one time or another. Cant really put a specific mileage on when they fail , we all live and drive in different situations.

KYB makes the non-air struts for Lexus, but not the air. I would have no issue with the Arnott replacements and may very well be the provider to Lexus.

Good to know - I have searched and have seen very little reviews so far on the arnotts air struts. May be a great option if my struts crap out on me but still at 93K on my 08 and going strong.

The benz guys, who have much worse air suspension issues then we do, use arnotts as replacements and they are highly recommended

Arnott doesn't have one for cars with sport suspension, bummer. Just hoping I don't have to replace mine, as the sun coast ones don't get the greatest reviews. If mine ever go out I'd probably just consider coil overs.

Kyb makes the factory lexus air struts as well. Arnott is not the oem provider. Arnott at this moment only has new completely redesigned front air struts ... i used there replacement air bags on my town car... and an air strut on my s500 . Qaulity and service from arnott is great.

Uhhh... are you SURE about that? I see no replacement available from them, but they do offer a "conversion" replacement (ie gas). If you could link us the info, that would be great for some members here.

Sorry about the confusion roadfrog... what im trying to say is KYB is the manufacturer of the OEM gas and air struts. At this moment they do not supply aftermarket replacement. Only arnott has front air struts available. If you purchase an oem air strut from lexus most if not all have a kyb logo on them.

I find that with all of the LS460 non sport.
That's why I got the sport, so I can use it in sport mode all the time. Without sport I would have had to buy German.

The LS460L has never been available with a sport suspension. If the dealer is telling you it has a sport suspension they don't have any idea what they're talking about.

On the LS460, the sport model with the sport suspension was only offered from 2010-2012 in the SWB sport edition. Then from 2013-2017 in the F Sport, which is again only SWB.

Its a private sale, and I could of sworn it has a "sport" switch on the console for the suspension, but maybe I am wrong

We will know in a couple days when I pick it up

My 460L has the variable suspension modes of normal, comfort and sport. In sport mode the steering and ride is slightly firmer and more responsive. . In comfort mode the steering and ride is smoother and relaxed. Normal seems to be the combination of both sport and comfort. The newer LS460 SWB only is available in the F-sport with a few special touches like seats, brakes and paddle shifters. The F sport ride and handle like a true sport car and not like LS460 in sport mode. The F-sport have the same variable suspension mode settings also.. The LS 430 was available with the sport suspension.

The air suspension has a sport setting, but its not a "sport suspension" like you have in say the F Sport, or the Sport model, or had available on the LS430.
