Yeah I'm looking forward to it too. As much hype there is about how it will look on the outside, I'm just as intrigued about the interior and tech.
I hope it offers a lot in regards to the part if the car we look at the most while driving.
I plan on getting one lease end in 2018. This time, I'm not going to settle on a dealer car, unless it has everything I want.

What I've seen is really bad - the cruise control buttons are moved to the steering wheel (the same as on LC). For someone who had just Lexus and Toyota cars for many years and is used for the lever, this will be difficult to get use.

Agreed. The classic lever on Toyotas has been around forever. Would be sad to see it go.

I don't have an issue with them moving away from switchgear shared with Toyota.

Sad indeed. No V8 is blasphemy. I rented out a 5 series BMW and it had a V6 with that STUPID start/stop feature. I hated that car. Seems like the LS is being made to compete in that 5 series segment. I guess I was naive in my V12 hopes LOL -- Aston Martin and S65 coupe come to mind. Lexus can't compete in 'aspiring luxury' like the 5 series. They need to go a step closer the ultra-luxury, where money is never an issue and profit margins are big and volumes are low. A V6 means ZERO sales like others posted here. I'm out.

We have to remember, every other car in this segment comes with standard 6 cyl power but the S Class, and it does elsewhere in the world.
I don't have an issue with standard V8 power, my issue is if it doesn't have available V8 power.

Are we talking about a highly rare one off super car aka LFA or a mass market high end luxury vehicle like the LS. At the end of the day if the price per performance is equivalent to the current Lexus or they undercut/incredible lease deals the german offerings by x amount the LS will be a sales success.
