I seriously, seriously doubt I'm the first.
So you don't like the ls aside from its reliability. I don't really understand all the love for these German cars. They are the most bland cars I have ever Layed eyes on

Be rest assured, you're NOT! My situation was similar to yours. Went from a 7 series BMW to my LS for the exact same reasons you went into an Acura. A fancy BMW is not worth owning when you are going corner to corner wondering what will go wrong next. Enter the LS and its been bliss ever since. All the luxury, bells and whistles with the reliability of a Corolla? Yes please.

No V8. That's all that matters to me.

I would rather have an S7, the new M550, or S550 over this V6TT, especially knowing I'll be dumping them lease end now.

Also I doubt they have a extended warranty on the turbos, they usually go out at 100k miles.

What do I do now...
Here's what you do. Wait until right before the LS500 comes out, and trade your 16 in on a loaded 17 LS460L at a stunning deal and keep that.

I may may do that myself.

Please post some evidence that Toyota turbos go out at 100k miles.

I do like it, but I don't want to spend $90,000+ on it. If I can buy a $90,000 17 loaded LS460L for $65,000-70,000 that's a pretty good value.

In terms of money I see how that makes sense but the new ls blows the 4ls away in ever category.

Yes, the extra 29 horsepower gain will surely blow the doors off my current LS........

If that doesn't work maybe it can just scare other cars out of the way with that front grill

Lexus knows that people buy their cars because they're reliable, they test them for a long time to make sure. In their entire history id say only the 06 Gs300s and the is250s engines were not bulletproof reliable (and even those I've seen with over 200k) I HIGHLY doubt they'd put this engine in without testing its reliability as it would make them lose sales big time if it had problems. Toyota has used turbos in supras and other cars and as long as they were kept stock never heard of many issues. And if they kept the current v8 alongside the new engine, it would be slower and get worse mpg. There's been more than speculation that an LCF is in the works and I wouldn't be surprised if an LSF followed. Lexus sales have been doing quite well since the new style grills actually, and I've seen lots of praise by reviewers of the current gen gs and Is350s because of the improved handling vs older modes. While big complaints on the GSF and RCF because the N/A v8 can't keep up with its competitors performance wise. let's wait to see reviews once the car is out.

I have no experience with turbos but I just dont see that kind of functionality to be reliable long term.

Gas is fairly cheap right now, id rather have a simple v8, pay littlr more for fuel and not worry about the mechanical reliability of a turbo engine.

it seems like manufacturers today are more concerned with squeezing every extra mpg they can get, all while ignoring long term reliability.

4.5 0-60 vs like 5.6 in the current LS is a pretty big jump in speed, that's as fast as an ISF/GSF/RCF, for a car that's even bigger than the current LWB that's pretty fast.
