My replacement dash pad is in!
Got a call today from my dealer the dash has come in and will be installed next Thursday. Now they said they ordered it a year ago but in Jan 17 they found no evidence it had been ordered. The dealership changed owners last fall so they said things got lost in ordering. I doubt it was ever ordered last Feb. So it only took less than a month to get it in.
I will take before and after photos when the big day comes. That sticky dash is a real nuisance.

Glad to hear that. I have a 07 Ls460L and the dash got replaced last year but I'm still waiting on the door panels. It's been about 8 months now since the dash been installed. I called the dealership a couple of weeks ago and they said they'll call me as soon as they get my door panels in. I hope it's soon

My door panels are not too bad. Having tinted windows helps a lot. Did you ask them to replace them or did they just do it?
How long did it take them to do your dash? Would also be nice if it included the underside of dash.

My service advisor said they would put me on the list for the dash and door panels so I wasn't going to argue. I don't know exactly how long it took for the replacement of it. I just dropped it off one morning, they gave me a loaner, and they called me the next day and said it was ready. I was hoping they'd replace my glovebox too but they used my old one.

Our side (tech) takes 2-3 hours. Nothing but that dash is replaced. You would have to talk to your service manager about getting other stuff replaced like your glove box or center console. Its not included but it can be good willed. The bill for this is over $10k!

There are two different parts which are replaced: the dashboard itself which also includes the interior-colored trim pieces to the left and right of the radio; and the interior-colored piece under the steering wheel. The glove-box was not included.
The center console was also replaced, which also consists of two parts: the main interior-colored trim next to the front-seat-belt buckle; and the piece that surrounds the AC vent on the back.
Still no ETA on the replacement door panels. It appears that the entire door panel is replaced, not just the arm-rests - which on my LS are the parts that have deteriorated the most.

My dealer said the glove box is not included also. Its been changed once so its not a real issue today. Center console would be nice did you request that too? My door panels are good. I found a new glove box on ebay for 550.00 and its the color i need too. But i will pass on it.
Can't wait till thursday.

I noticed two issues with my dash, which in my case lead me to believe the dashboard material was starting to deteriorate:
1. Last summer I noticed that the top (brown) portion of the dashboard became "shiny", as if you used a high gloss cleaner, which I had not;
2. The tan-colored dash pieces, including the piece under the steering wheel, started to feel "tacky" to the touch.
There was no visible damage to the dashboard, but you could feel that the dashboard surface was becoming softer such that it could easily be gouged or damaged, especially when it was hot.
In the same time frame (~6 months), the condition of the door armrests (all four) went from bad to horrible - I worried that if the dashboard was not replaced, it too, in time, would become worse, especially after the heat of next summer.
