Indeed Chris will work for beer, however, none of the weak American stuff we have here!
True. Although I REALLY do fancy your Mac & Jack beer! Sooooo good!

Hmm..haven't heard of it. I'll have to search. If your taste in beer is as good as your advice, I've got no reason to doubt your preferences!

Default Now it happened to me ....

I broke off that little nipple when changing the belt. I did a temporary repair that lasts quite well as I have to wait to get the replacement radiator (it takes a while and lots of $ to get it shipped to Switzerland; but still much cheaper than buying it here).
I did the following repair:
1) cut all edges of the remaining nipple and grind it till plain
2) widen the whole with a 10mm
3) cut off one end of a standard house connecter tube
4) insert the plain end of the connector into the 10mm whole and apply some heat resistant glue
5) seal the whole thing with LB weld or similar
6) wait and have a beer until the weld is dry

That will hold up till for a while. Like with all attempted fixes, coolant will start to leak out. I used a threaded brass fitting with Teflon tape and tapped into the radiator. I had some tiny leaks after a few days but I was confident the tip wouldn't move.

Has anyone one designed a permanent protective bracket/housing to go around the tip? I plan on creating one since I tinker around in the engine a lot.
I wonder if Lexus made one for their mechanics.

Any further info on a protective bracket/cover? Unfortunately way to easy to break these.
