'10 LS 460 or new Honda Fit LS?

Nice, mckelly! You've motivated me to do the same on my wife's car. I purchased a 3M headlight restoration kit on 9/6/2014 and have yet to open it. Did you have to connect any pads to a power drill or orbital buffer? It doesn't seem like you had to remove the headlights, which is a big plus!
The gaffer's tape below the headlamp came off when it got wet enough, but it's easy to be careful with the sanding paper near the edge.
It turned out much, much better than I expected, i.e., they truly do look new, and the effort was minimal, though follow the instructions to the letter. There were times I thought I'd well-and-truly turned them permanently opaque, but sure enough, they were fine.

I'd love to hear back about how it holds up. I've done this job on my car and others with other products many, many times, but because it removes the factory UV coating, the fogging re-occurs within a few weeks. Eventually, the constant sanding wear out the lens. I haven't had to replace the lenses yet, but it's something to consider. You would think that a company would come up with some kind of clear coating or similar to maintain the clarity after a job like this.

You can use spray on clear coating, and there are products out there that do this. You could also put a clear bra product over the lenses after polishing them.

That's my plan, to put on a headlight protector film. Yesterday I ordered the exact kit that mckelly used. Was impressed by his results so am skipping the 3M kit I already have.
