The BT OBII and Techstream CD /USB cable for Toyota / Lexus are both on their way, so see how that goes when it arrives. I might try to find the brake light sensor, I don't want to jump the gun before scanning it but the previous replies seem pretty confident!
Thank you all for the response and clarifications so far

so, you are driving a broken car. big whoop...HVAC codes aren't errors... It's just you scanned in the dark or a garage.
ABS errors most probably history. That is why you need techstream, not 'old android phone' and some 'app'.
ps. my bet won, as usual ) where do i collect my winnings?)))

No ive left the errors as is, I'm thinking the other scanner is coming no later than tomorrow. I kind of want to see what it brings up before clearing them. I did buy the brake switch just in case, it was inexpensive. Now to see where it's at exactly.

Thanks for the tip, the brake switch is installed and the lights come on as it should, it was adjusted as needed. Cruise control appears in the dash without blinking, now to test drive soon!

Seems to me, the symptoms for a maladjusted switch and a defective switch would be the about the same. Any failure analysis on the removed switch - is it bad?

not sure about testing the old one but the stop lights worked just fine prior to its replacement. I adjusted the stop lights to come on about the same as the old one though.

Two pairs of contacts... Second one is a failsafe. One of those goes - stop lights still work, but cruise gets inhibited. On older cars they even used a vacuum valve (inside a brake switch) as a failsafe...
