Nope, but out of curiosity, if you have a link I would be curious just to see it.

I bought a '05 Cypress Pearl with 111k that was in Cleburne, about 1:45 hour drive one way for me. The car lived in Stephensville and was serviced by Lexus of Ft. Worth. My '04 was Silver which is my favorite color but it just didn't work out this time.

Yeah, the CL ad is gone, and I suggested to a guy I work with that one might be the one.

I found another, but it's in Round Rock.

Man, Cleburne. That's probably not much more than 20 minutes from me, if I take the turnpike.

edit: It popped up as a refreshed ad.

Figured I would reply and give a update here.... Finally got the replacement and didn't feel like installing it. So I went to a local repair shop (great guys who know their crap, honest and does great work, the dream shop) He swapped it out for $50, that was done on Saturday (it's been a while that I have been living with this..). I have not been on the highway YET with it but, up to around 45mph and its a world of difference. The real test will be on my hour commute to work.

Figured, I would give it a shot...

Well, the loud noise is gone but, still getting a vibration and now it seems the rubbing sound is coming from the passangers side now. The smptoms are the same as in this thread.. Sigh...what is the chance both front ones are shot ?

No question the drivers side replaced made a difference (a difference you can hear).

My wife and I are buying a house in a few weeks, so I might have to live with this for a little while. Sigh...

It could very definitely be the passenger's side bearing.

Vibration, though, is more than likely merely a wheel out of balance.

There is no question in my mind that there is a change between the noise level after changing the drivers side bearing. I even listend to the youtube video a few times and no question it's better.

There is a rubbing sound when turning and the vibration, the exact symtom discussed in this thread.

So both bearings bad ? Dam...

Could be worse, at least bearings are cheap.

OK, update.. As I have been driving with this bad vibration. The dealer said they did a full rotation and balance on the tires. So, I was assuming it could not be that. So on a last ditch attempt to adress this issue, otherwise it was going to Lexus for them to find out what is wrong... I took it down to Town Faire Tire (a big chain in New England area), $70 for 4 wheel balance ($15 a tire plus tax etc, a little less than $70)

So the tech comes out...and says, "there was no weights on the rims, ON any of them". I said how is that possable if a balance was done a few months ago. He said, it's impossable if someone did this a few months ago. It could be some feel off but, none at all, impossable. So the dealer lied to me AGAIN.

The car is great now, no vibration at 90 mph (tested this morning), I can hear a slight wining noise that seems like it's coming from the passangers side, feeling that brearing might need to be replaced.

Very helpfull now that the BIG problem is gone, I will be trying that wind fix as there is wind noise coming from the door. Trying to clear up the little issues. Thank you again for posting here 1

I had a set of new winter tires mounted and balanced and stored in the garage. After about six months I need to move them and discovered that nearly all of the balancing weights had fallen off the wheels and were stuck to the garage floor. I brought this to the attention of my mechanic who said that they had received a "bad batch" of weights and they had many customers whose tires they had to re-balance.

As I could beleive it COULD happen but, a car that was done, and driven almost every day, had the issue from day one (claimed it was DONE 3 days before).. The odds of them falling off within 3-4 days is amost impossable from what my reading is on the subject. When a dealer lied about 4 times, over charged me, claimed a car was fixed when it never was and even refused to work that was under warranty. The odds of them BSing, is very high vs your issue.

I looked at 4 LS460s, and this one was BEYOND beautfull and flawless shape (it was hard finding a mark on this car).

Think this is a big deal /expense ? IS this a safey issue ?

Trying to rule it out before going to the next step with the dealer.
Could be a object in the tire like a screw or nail.
