Default LED Stip driving lights.

So I got around on installing these today. Some other members I have these too.

I ordered these off Ebay.

There is also a version that can be used as a turn signal light with amber LED too.

Not much to doing these have to use 3M tape to stick them to the front grill. The wire these things have are at best 22gauge wire very thin stuff. Used some slightly thicker gauge to use as extensions for the run back to ground and fuse box.

Used Posi-twist connectors to tie them together. Zip ties to secure the wire behind bumper.

Grounded to good 10mm bolt on passenger side or the front end. Only thing I didn't realize was the fuses use the low-profile mini type fuse. I bought a regular mini type fuse tap. So I went old school for now and just pushed wire under the 30amp fuse. As Roadfrog used the wiper blade fuse. I will probably get a fuse tap later for that type. Ran the wire up under the lid at the back end so it doesn't pinch it as much.

Not a bad mod for just a few bucks and about hour of time.

The lights come on with the car and does not affect the wiper power at all.

Looks great. Glad you like them. My only complaint with them, is that they yellow after a time. That said, I've had them installed for nearly 3 years now and they still work great. I find it interesting how the angled cuts at the ends perfectly match the lines of the grill opening....almost like they used the LS460 as a template when designing and manufacturing the lights.

Least at this cost no problem to replace if they fade or something. They do fit well in that corner like you said. Wish they could sit further back but the grill gets in the way and didn't want to go cutting the grill.

But I think its all good.

Thx

I'm thinking about picking up these lights as well. Has anyone figured out how to wire these up with functioning turn signals?

I am guessing you could extend the turn signal wire over to the actual turn signal wire.
