Changing 2014 LS 460 L from 19" to 18" tires....?

You would want to adjust the width and profile from the 19 dimensions so that you keep the total diameter the same.

The 18s will ride slightly better. If you chose the stock 18s and the stock 18" tire size then there would be no sizing issue. '

On our previous LS 430 I remember doing the math and being able to get a used set of 17" wheels PLUS Michelin tires for the same cost as just getting a set of 18" tires.

One thing, though...does your car have the OEM touring package on it?
I know my L does, and there's no way 18" wheels are going to clear the caliper. The 19"s barely do.
The larger brake rotors are 14.1" up front, 13.2" in the rear.
"Normal" rotors are 13.2" & 12.4".
The easiest way to tell is to look at the caliper and see how large it is. The larger brakes have a noticeably larger caliper (longer/taller).
EDIT: I looked at my wheels and their relation to the calipers/discs, again...yeah, 18" is no problem. Don't know what I was thinking, previously.
Come to think of it, I've had more than one car/truck with wheels smaller than the front brake rotors on my '08 L (14").

Mmmmm, I wasn't aware of the different rotor sizes in this car. However, I have not heard of a touring package for the 460L, so I have to check it out. I have considered swapping my 19 inch turbines for the 18 inch 5-double spoke hollows.

There's not a "touring" package, LS460s have the same brake rotors sized according to model year/ drive type outside of the sport package or F Sport package in the 2013+.
The 18s will fit on cars with the 14" brake rotors, they came that way from the factory. My LS has the 14" rotors and I have the 18s. The only LS they may not fit on is a Sport package or F Sport with Brembos.
FYI the sport package and F Sport have never been available on the LWB car.

Actually, FWIW, there was a Touring package in 2007 and '08 available on the 460L. It was one of two ways to get the 5-spoke 19" wheels from the factory (at the time, only offered "officially" on the L). The package included air suspension, larger rotors (at least in front) with higher friction pads and summer tires. Not sure how common it was, though...
They then did a Touring model in '11, I think, but I have not seen anything with larger brakes beyond that year (other than the F-Sport), but am now intrigued.

Interesting, I never knew they did that back then.
The 18s will fit on cars with the 14" rotors though. Later in the 460s run those rotors were standard even on cars with the 18s
