2014 F-Sport LS460 WORTH IT???
In the market for another LS as my current 08 is about to be passed to the wife! Looking at a 2014 LS460(1-owner lease returns) while i like the looks of an F-Sport after doing some research starting to wonder if its worth the extra duckets many of the dealers are asking? No performance upgrades to the engine, simply a grill, interior, bumper, brakes, wheels & adjustable suspension? I intend to run staggered set up of 22X9 & 22X10.5, Just a couple questions other than price. #1. Are there any aftermarket modules that can adjust suspension as the F-Sport(or at least low/high stance) #2. Any differences in F-Sport year models(ie-assuming 13, 14 same while i notice 15 and up has a trunk badge???)

The main reason why I wanted a Sport model is for the paddle shifting rev matching transmission from the GSF/ISF. It really changes the way the car behaves when driving aggressively. The 6 piston Brembos up front that will bring you to a stop faster than any other LS is the other factor. You need to look into the Data Systems controller.

Almost every LS460F I've seen for sale, while checking carfax or Lexus Owners, have had brake pad replacement/rotor work. I personally wouldn't select the F-Sport just due to the ongoing issues Lexus is unable to resolve with the brakes, it isn't worth the trade-off with the slightly-more-aggressive transmission.

I agree, I drove a few F sports 13+ and to be honest didn't feel a lot of difference between them and what I have a 2011. I also drove a 2014L pretty much all the options and I think it was a better option than the F sport. But the F sport does look nice; the regular brakes are not bad at all; when I changed my rotors and pads I was thinking how large and heavy the calipers are..
I decided to hang on my 2011, has been pretty much trouble free for last 45k miles I have put one in 2 years; till the ls500 comes out

While perusing 13+ LS460's, I understand the F-Sport was a (I think) $9k option when new, used they aren't selling for much more than a standard base LS460. In fact, a local dealer here in TX (Classic Buick in Arlington, TX) had a 13 LS460F with a perfect carfax/maintenance history struggle to sell at $33k (70k+ miles) for over 2 months....it finally sold last month. I checked the Lexus owners, it had pads changed @ 32k miles and 50k miles, as well as rotor-servicing (I assume machined the rotors) at 48k miles and rotors replaced at 60k miles. I never drove it because I didn't want to be that guy needing brakes within 6 months of getting this vehicle even though it was just recently replaced. Plus all interior colors of the F-Sport are the same, whereas I'm holding out for a Flaxen...
