Looks great and great price. I haven't found anyone here who will do it for less than $350 per door. Guess I need to heard to GA!

To R Z: The auto upholstery name: Tony's Trim Shop and Upholstery. Address: 1203 Beaver Ruin Rd, Norcross, GA 30093. Tel: 770-279-1177. If you have chance come to Atlanta then call Tony in advance he may able to help you. The shop very busy and they close little early daily at 5:30PM and close on Saturday and Sunday. I come there around 5PM and they take 2 front panel doors off and next day around 5PM I come back for they install 2 front panel door in and remove 2 rear panels. Next day at 5PM I come back they install 2 rear panel door in. I been driving 2 days without door panel and open the door by pulling cables when inside. The cost for each door wrap is $100. This is the price Tony charge the used car dealer and auto broker. Hope you can have your armrest wrap soon. I am so embarrassing with co worker when we go lunch together and they asking what happen to my car armrest before wrap. So I know how you feel.

You are correct. Just called Tony's Trim Shop (770-2792-1117) sounds like he has been doing a lot of LS460's. He couldn’t work mine in til next week which didn’t help me. I’m coming up to the area from Florida Thursday thru Sunday and was hoping I could get my 2009 LS460 panels wrapped.
I’ve been fighting Lexus local dealer and corporate for almost a year with No Luck. Very frustrating.
Has anyone heard if there is a class action law suit in progress for this issue?

Just Google "Lexus LS melting dashboard lawsuit" and read all about it.

Has anyone heard of the replacement dash or door panels having the same problems as the original?

Toyota replaced the dashboard on my 40k mile 2008 Solara Convertible SLE with zero pushback after it developed a couple sticky spots. New dash looks great. I'm not sure if purchasing 7 Toyota's from them in the past 8 years made a difference or not. Sickening to hear of all these troubles with Lexus, a brand, I naively and ignorantly thought for decades, up until reading through this forum, was bulletproof and approaching perfection, even at 200k miles and beyond. This forum has been a wealth of great information about the good, bad, and the ugly regarding Lexus. I would like to give a big THANKS to all participating members for their shared wisdom.

maybe their doors and dashboards don't melt in 10 years, but the rest of the car does..... while their quality is improving, I have many friends with top end BMW's, Alpina's, 760's, M6's, etc, and the amount of time they have to spend taking their cars in for electrical, mechanical, and yes, cosmetic defects astounds me. Those dumb enough to keep them beyond warranty, few have walked away without spending $5k to $10k annually for surprise issues. I guess I hoped Lexus was not perfect, but much better than the German's. Air suspensions, brake accuators, control arms, melting dashes - all before 150k miles, is certainly a shock to me, but I'm thankful for this group's education.

No machine is perfect, and nothing lasts forever. These issues are not issues EVERYBODY has you have to bear in mind.

no car is perfect and there are bound to be cars with issues, the sheer number of cars being sold...but of course we always hear from the 'squeakiest wheel'. I just had my car inspected AGAIN.. and apart from my steering rack issue which was prob my fault because of water... the car is in apparently great shape lol so u know... it is the luck of the draw..

Wowee that really looks good I’m from so cal, where did you have it done? I’m looking to have the tops of my door panels done. I appreciate the information.

Peppy's Auto did it and I highly recommend them. My dash is still good.

I live in Laguna area. Need to have my door pulls recovered. Can you tell me where you had them done?
