Many of us here have installed aftermarket products (GROM/Vaistech/Beatsonic) that can give a smartphone-like interface (GROM) or mirror the smartphone screen (Beatsonic) on the Nav screen. Getting BT/USB functionality to connect your phone is very doable. Please check this forum for those threads.
Okay, the GROM Audio is pretty nice and closer to what I would be looking for. I use all Apple products, but having the Google Play Store on there would be nice. I do use Waze and Spotify everyday, and I do like the voice control. I'll continue to research the forum to see if anyone has been able to do anything to mirror their iPhone on the nav screen. That or maybe one of the new aftermarket head units that have CarPlay built in. Thanks for the info!

Congrats and welcome. You'll love the 460, especially when you take your first road trip. The LS really shines on the highway.

I've been servicing our Lexus vehicles, including the LS, at my Toyota dealer for the last 6 years. As with anything, making sure you have a good Advisor and Tech is the key. Good luck!

Thanks guys. It's getting tinted tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to the finished product. Think it's going to look super sharp with the paint color.

I love the color of this car. Its getting a nice detail cleaning next week after it's long 2,000 mile road trip out here so I really can't wait to see this color shine in the Arizona sun!

I know, learning new stuff almost daily. It boggled mine that there were power buttons for the headrests in the back. I was trying to install my daughters convertible car seat in and get them to raise manually. I kept pulling and tugging and looking for a push button. I'm sure if anyone was watching me, I looked like a complete fool! Then I discovered all the adjustment buttons in the back center arm console. The rear window sun shadow is pretty slick too!

Speaking of doing my own maintenance, I can (and would like to continue to) do most basic things, but this vehicle does appear slightly more intimidating.
Congrats on your new LS!
Trust me.....there is nothing on this car that is intimidating. I am no mechanic, and have replaced the rad (my fault for breaking it), water pump, brakes and rotors, spark plugs, rear diff fluid, oil changes, etc. The only thing you will need that is specialized, is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-Filter-Wrench-6-8-Cylinder-Engines-for-Lexus-GS300-IS250-ES350-GS350-LS460-/351755240466?fits=Model%3ALS460&epid=1872855108&hash=item51e63f0412:gA4AAOSwgY9Xe3LP&vxp=mtr

You will need that for replacing the oil filter. It removes the cap to access the filter inside.
