Default My 07 LS got skin disease

This is my third Lexus (98 GS400 Blue, 07 ES350 White) and I have never had any paint issues.

Have you guys seen anything like this?

Thanks

Look like severe watermarks. You just need a full detail. Get it polished and waxed.

Looks like more than just water etching to me, but I would start by having the paint compounded out and see what you get...

It should buff out. Could be water marks or something spilled on it.

Looks like it could be pre mature clear coat failure which would be odd for it to be so bad on a 07 already. Is the car kept out in the hot sun a lot, has there been a lot of bird crap in that area, was that part resprayed? Does it have a different texture?

It could just be hard water spots or some kind of chemical. I would try clay baring it and polishing it, if it does not come off try compound and then polishing. If it stays and is clearcoat failure the whole panel will have to be resprayed, it is only going to get worse and spread if it is clear coat failure.

My guess is at some point in the car's history that rear quarter was repainted...like you said I'd be surprised if you had failure such as that with a factory paint job.
