A few weeks ago my 07 LS460 (base) started to have the AC not come on for about 5mins after starting. When it started it reset to 75F and worked fine afterwards until I turned the car off and it would do it again. I thought that it might be a damaged servo door linkage. Yesterday when I got in my car it did not work at all (no AC/air/fan etc) and a popping / clicking sound was noticed coming from behind the dash (near the passenger floorboard). So I managed to take my dash apart last night and try to locate the problem. I found that when I disconnect the 20pin AC Amplifier / AC Blower Assy connector the condition stopped. (looks to be connected to the air conditioner amplifier) The dash electronics work with this connector disconnected but all I get is hot air. I do not know which part to check. I plan on crawling back under there tonight to see if the linkage is disconnected/damaged to blower damper assembly. (BTW the clicking/popping noise looks to be coming from behind the dash and behind the servomotors) --- any thoughts?
