Home link not working
Just got a slightly used 2015 GS 350 and cannot get garage door programmed. It is a genie opener with learning button.

Genies should work with most Homelinks (unlike Chaimberlains). These people all changed their communications protocols around 2011/2012 so you need a special adapter with the Chaimberlains (but like I said, Genies are supposed to work with everything). Double check everythtng you are doing with the pairing.

Check the following link for instructions on how to do it: http://homelink.com/program
Since you have a 2015, if you're still having issues, have the "tech" specialist from a Lexus dealer assist you.
Newer garage doors have oddities and quirks when programming them, so you wanna make sure you take all the steps. My A6 wouldn't program to my new Chamberlain opener so I called it quits and use the app instead. Haven't tried it with the LS yet, but the app works just fine so I haven't even tried.

You may have rolling codes. In that case, perform the same steps (ie: clear out the codes holding the 1st and 3rd buttons till flash and the press and hold the remote close to the button while pushing), then press the learn button on the back of your opener. Press and hold the newly programmed button in your car for a bout a second 3 times. That should do it.

It's too bad some people are having difficulty connecting Homelink to their garage openers. I have a 2001 Chamberlain Liftmaster garage opener, and it had no difficulty linking with my 2012 LS, and later my 2014 LS. With my 2001 Sienna, Homelink had difficulty with the opener in one channel (button). I then tried programming a different Homelink button and it worked! I agree with some of the other replies here - it is probably a matter of systematically pushing various buttons on the garage opener and Homelink until it works

Where/How do you get the adapter for free? As far as I can tell, they wanna charge $25 for it and I don't feel like paying more after I already spent around $250 for the opener itself.

Call or e-mail them and say you just bought a new Chaimberlain/Liftmaster opener and it won't work with your 2007 Lexus. The folks at Home Depot (or wherevere you bought it) told you Chaimberlain changed their wireless protocols in 2011 but will provide a pairing transponder at no charge upon request.

How old is the Genie GDO? Is it compatible with Intellicode II and III? I was a long time Genie user but I no longer dieal with Genie openers. Installed Liftmaster belt drive. If your Genie is older model you have to upgrade it by plugging in an adapter to work with all Intellicode remotes. Then Homelink will work.

Quick visual clue, look at the hanging wire antenna...if it is grey/white dull color it indicates
that the unit has the former frequencies and HomeLink will be compatible. If the wire is
red/yellow/bright color then it has a newer high frequency and will likely need the separate
adapter unit.

Their website says the opener is natively compatible with the LS but not the A6 which is interesting.
