I remember when I bought mine, it was cheaper but you know it goes. I bought it about 4 years ago.

I thought I would re-up this thread. I used the Shin Etsu grease this weekend. I'm pretty sure it helped with the wind noise. Especially the seals on the front doors around the mirrors, there's a few that were really dried out.

Don't forget pano roof seals and slide points, they get a lot of heat and sun up there.

That's just silicone grease, Toyota called it body grease and it was used for lubing moonroof control cables/ power window cables and rollers/ some plastic gears etc. You can get that from your local Honda dealer, I'd be surprised if it can condition rubber. Doesn't it build up with dirt on your window seals?

Honda S2000 owners swear by this grease. I used it for years when I had my Honda S2000.
It actually gets absorbed by the rubber, and you don't see it at all after a few hours. It makes the rubber supple.

It gets absorbed by the seals and you wear gloves when working on anything so it's not a factor. I don't put it on the body side seal so people can't brush past it though as it may stain clothes

Silicone grease is what manufacturers use to condition them, thats the stated use of that product from Honda, just give it a Google.

Another good product is Gummi Pfledge, it is also a silicone conditioner but isnt as thick at the Shin Etsu grease. Thats what I use now because the seals are in good condition. Even on my new well maintained cars I notice a difference after treating the seals

It is not toxic. Directly from Shin-Etsu's website.

Safety

The silicone fluid base oil is chemically inactive, so these products pose almost no risk to humans and animals.

No, should be fine. It absorbs quickly, unless you use way too much. I came back the next day and wiped off any excess. The lower door seals and window seals had tons of crap in there so I had to clean that out first.

Been using it for years on my 2010 LS 460L and my 2006 SC 430. Turning 74 in 22 days and still kicking.

I've tried that in the past but wasn't really impressed, I'm doing a test right now under strict laboratory conditions on a new section of slingshot type tubing.
