Default Picked up my new car - 2008 LS460

I appreciate the information and advice I received before making my purchase.

I drove from Raleigh NC to Naples FL over the weekend and picked up the car and drove it home.

I got a 2008 LS 460 with 56,340 miles, one owner Florida car with an average of 6250 miles per year.

I am very happy, unfortunately
I was traveling for work this week so I have not had time to learn about all the features so far I've learned it has the following:
  • assist door closing
  • assisted parallel parking
  • motorized trunk open/close
Regarding the sticky door panels issues this car has had the following replaced
  • front door panels
  • dashboard
The rear doors panels and glovebox are on back order and will replace once we get the parts.

I want to personalize the car, here is my list in order of priority:
  1. Bluetooth iPhone audio streaming
  2. Upgrade speakers, subwoofer and amp
  3. Rims - although I'm torn since the car has brand new Michelin tires (18")
  4. Tint windows darker
  5. Add LED interior lighting

Honestly, you're not going to improve on the '08 ML audio system if your goal is sound quality. If you want loud, bass-boomer music, maybe others have suggestions.
As far as bluetooth audio, you can get bluetooth adapters for about $15 on Amazon. They plug into the aux socket in your armrest and will let you stream music from your phone without an aux cable. Quality won't be any better, though.

Congrats! How did you get them to replace those panels and dash? I have an 07 that has one panel with minor issues other than that I havent had any cracking.

I purchased a Grom V-line for mine to use Apple CarPlay and it works great, aside from a few minor bugs, but they occasionally roll out with an update to fix those.

I wouldnt do anything with the ML sound system aside from adding a 12" subwoofer in the trunk which I eventually plan to do.

100%. Messing with the tuned ML is a bad idea IMHO.

I've always been an amateur audiophile and love a great clean loud music. When I'm alone I like to pump the volume, it's not just about the bass but instead having great balanced music. From the other threads the stock speakers with the ML system leave a lot to be desired.

I like to do component in the front, 2 ways in the rear and 10" subwoofer with 2 amps.

My biggest unknown is the Bluetooth system, Vaistech , Grom or another option

Wow, that is in immaculate condition! Congratulations and may it bring you years of happy motoring. Naples, FL? I learned (possibly from Junglequac) that area is very affluent and home to all the nice, barely driven cars. Amazing find!

Just learned that it's a 12 hour drive between Raleigh and Naples. Did you see photos of the car before driving all that way? Shared your story with the wife and her only thought was what if you get down there and the car isn't as clean as photos made it out to be. Glad it all worked out extremely well for you.

Although it was a far drive the person I dealt with was very transparent and I had a good idea about the vehicle. If it had not been as promised I would have walked away. You need discipline and not make emotional decisions.
