So retarded. Funny how they portray the feature to be effeminate.
The western male in general is now portrayed everywhere as a little dorky mouse man who is walked over by the wife and everyone else

I cut off all ties to mainstream tv and media , its garbage

Regarding this product , I use my trunk every day multiple times for work but I still don't see how it would benefit me. I can just click a button on my fob to open it .....how much easier can it get lol

I guess to each their own. I buy a Lexus LS for the comfort and luxury aspects of it. Something like this would give an nice feature. I could think of 3 cases in the last 30 days where I could of found this useful, hands full and trying to reach in my pocket for my keys (that I ONLY use to start the car with the remote start and open the trunk).

I know the commercial that you talk about. "It's Wi-FI" yea, I know and I agree, it's annoying. If my wife pulled that type of crap on me, I might be temped to look for a new wife :-/

If it's found to work good and it's a fairly cheap option to add with a fairly easy install, I think I would be ordering the kit today.

Top the OP, a nice DIY step by step install would be helpfull, or does it come with fairly easy directions ?

I'll definitely be watching this closely. Such a cool addition for a relatively cheap price.

Why are you guys reaching into your pocket for keys, why not just push the button on the trunk to open it with the key in your pocket?

I push the trunk button to open. But one has to still search and feel around for that button, which is not convenient if your hands are holding bags etc.

I think this will be a nice mod if it works consistently. It would be even cooler to combine this mod with the other one (from Shibumi and MrBiggs) to close the trunk from the driver's seat.

I almost never use my key fob to open the trunk or for anything else except when I want to lock/unlock the car from a distance, usually to let passengers into the car (or opening the trunk) while I'm otherwise occupied, such as locking our front door.

i usually either open the trunk from the outside using the rubber button (it's easy to locate by feel) or from inside the car using the trunk release button.

The foot-operated trunk release is interesting; I don't think i'd use it very often.
