As they say, if I read it correctly, it will sense the Lexus remote key is nearby, then it will send a signal to the trunk push contact on the lid and open it..The Lexus remote key must be in the same range as if You open the lid by pushing the lid opener.

Info from their website

Oddly enough, I was just looking into this. Datasystems, the company that makes the popular air-suspension controller, also makes a module that allows for this:

Looks like it runs for ~$100.

Interesting. Sounds like a good add on to me.

Arvid, your LKA. Was it an aftermarket add-on?

Yes, Arvid did install an LKA button on his 2008 600hL. Here's the link to his install thread.

Funny how some options only appeal to a certain crowd. There is a Ford commercial about this kind of feature where the wife is talking to the mom about wifi and the husband is carrying the bags like a little bi#tch asking for help with the trunk and she uses her foot. So retarded. Funny how they portray the feature to be effeminate.

Please do a DYI with pictures on install, for under $80, I would so install this.

A good DIY with what wires to tie into and where, would be helpful.

Hope it works, I would love this feature. There has been a bunch of times where I came out of the supermarket with 2-3 bags (didn't want to worry about running a carriage back) where this would be a very useful feature for me.

Default Tada ...installed...

Took us 5 hours ... hit and miss.... but finally it's operational... with hit and misses on the operation too...but maybe I just haven't found the correct way to throw my foot near the rear bumper.
Don't know if I would recommend the unit yet.... have to try it out more before deciding..
