I am preparing to do my 4 wheel brake job this coming Friday. I will be installing R1 Concepts Drilled and Slotted rotors and Power Stop Ceramic pads. I have done more brake jobs than I can even remember so I have the experience. However, are there any "Tips or tricks" that anyone can give to me to make this easier?
One thing that I have learned is to remove the screw that holds the brake line on the frame and screw this into the rotors to help them "POP" off. Sounds much easier than using the old hammer!!
Anything else anyone can assist with?
Stephen

That they are, but from what I have read, they should be worth it and with this being the Brembo Brakes, I wanted to ensure that I do not (hopefully) have the brake squeal that plagues these F Sports.

Did you give lexus a chance with their “improved “ pads?
I got 36k on my car. Squeals all the time especially in the morning. Sucks to get the looks when dropping off the kids.
I got the car used with 33k but didn’t see in the history they had the pads swapped out. I wonder if there is a time limit on the TSB.

Amazingly well actually. I just detailed my car this weekend and noticed how there are NO rust spots on the rotors and still no squeal! Plus they will still put you through the windshield if you hit them to hard! lol

As I understand it, the "improved" pads are just ceramic vs the high friction semi-metallic that the F-sport came with. Semi-metallic squeals (as one might expect from metal to metal contact) under light pressure, ceramic solves this. Not sure if there is a braking force change, I'm sure there are a ton of opinions on that one though.

LEXUS dealer did my brakes (new rotors / pads) a few months ago.
Zero squeal - love how they work.

I bought my F-Sport a few months ago with 25K miles.
The dealer put on new tires, did the brakes (new rotors / pads) as part of the CPO certification - so I don't know how worn they were.
But i love how it brakes...no squeak - very authoritative when needed.
