A bit pricey, but interesting. Do you have this in your vehicle? If so, did you install it yourself and was it a fairly easy?
I do, I did, and it wasn’t difficult if you’re ok pulling apart your dash. There is no wire cutting or tapping necessary, it comes with a plug and play harness. I took apart my glove compartment as well to make it easier to route the cables into the glove box and to route the gps and mic to their final destination. I removed the cigarette and aux cable from the glove compartment and ran USB there where I plug in my iPhone for CarPlay. Completely clean and pretty amazing to have CarPlay on a vehicle this old.
I was looking at a 2008 and found this device for streaming bluetooth audio ended up getting a 2010 so I did not need it. It will retrofit and work on your current radio.
Thanks! I had a ProClip in my previous vehicle and it was really nice. Not sure I like the placements of this one for my model year LS. Never heard of the Kuda before but it looks rather interesting. I like that it does not cover any vents and sits up angled toward the driver, albeit a little far away.
Doesn't look like there are many other options, although maybe one of the CD slot style holders as I don't use that for anything.
I really like this ProClip holder. It is very firmly mounted, stays out of the way and doesn't block the cup holders/DVD player or the radio controls. The gooseneck-type phone holders that plug into the CD slot or the cig lighter block the dash. I have a Beatsonic iPhone mirroring kit, so the charging cable is nicely hidden.

Okay, that does look nice. I'm trying to figure out form your photo if the base part where it mounts to is flat/parallel to the console? If so, how is the piece holding the phone standing upright? When I look at the ProClip for my model and year, I can't figure out if the phone is just going to lay flat with the console. Could you share a photo of your setup from he side to show how it is angled up?

Hi GFX, The iPhone mount and holder are matched to specific vehicle models. I looked up the mount and holder for your 2007 LS, and they look identical to mine. Here they are:
Mount https://www.proclipusa.com/product/8...-console-mount
Holder https://www.proclipusa.com/device/ph...apple-iphone-7
This mount and its position do not interfere with the legroom for the front passenger. Mounting is a cinch, and the holder is very durable. They also have holders for other smartphones. I have had them for over a year with no issues.
Okay, I'm still lost on how you have the device standing upright facing toward you. Yours seems to be much more than 15˚ rotated that they list in the description. Do you have a gooseneck or some other mounting arm like this pedestal mount that goes from the mount to the holder? https://d2ch1jyy91788s.cloudfront.ne...05-600_430.jpg
I had a ProClip in my previous vehicle and really liked it and it was located on the dash as I liked it sitting up facing toward me. I just need wait now until they email me they have a holder for the iPhone X.

OK, I get it. I didn't realize that the mounts look similar for 2007 and 2014 models, but also different This picture will clear your confusion. https://www.proclipusa.com/product/8...-console-mount
The 2014 mount has a face plate that is installed on a ball joint and is vertical and swivels around to orient the phone. No goosenecks. For whatever reason, the 2007 mount has a face plate that is horizontal. The trim elements on the center console are so similar between the 2007 and 2014 models, I wonder if the 2014 mount will work just fine with your 2007. You could ask Proclip.

This is so cool - I had no idea this existed. Thanks for the intel!

Yes, that would explain everything. I will reach out to them about that specific mount and if it in an option or would work with my model year.
Why not just use the AUX cord? Anything else is going to be considerably less sound quality. Bluetooth, and radio adapters sound terrible.
It kinda ruins the fact that the vehicle has the ML sound system.
well because, as in my case, I have a Samsung galaxy s20 which doesn't have the aux jack anywhere on the phone. So I personally don't know any other way rather than getting a Bluetooth head unit?? Any other suggestions

Don't know which year you own, but if it's an 07-09 this will work:

I don't know if Samsung uses micro usb. They sell micro usb to aux male all day long on ebay and aliexpress.com . I have an iphone. I bought lightning to aux off of aliexpress.com for few bucks. It's gone off the website. here's something similar but much more expensive. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...archweb201603_
i suggest buying from Ebay and making sure the product is already in the US otherwise Aliexpress takes at least 5-6 weeks to come to US. That is before this pandemic. Now, i don't know.
