Winter street bike is parked for months and I pack it full of dryer sheets. So far so good but this does not stop all of them. Some went past last year eating and crapping in the airbox.

Moth ***** are said to work too but I could not put those in the car. As for dryer sheets and a car, good luck. Way to many options on a car. If you put them under the hood, make sure they can't get free and sucked into the accessory belt.

Best bet is to remove all food sources from the area and set ground traps if they are present.

yeah had one chew through the wire harness on my motorcycle $900 for a new harness and $400 in labor.. Even with dryer sheets and moth cakes.. the only way I have found to complete protect the bike is with a motorcycle bubble (capsule)

Auto insurance covered $3k worth of damage to my parents Odyssey. Easy claim.

Unfortunately, automakers are moving towards soy based wire coatings to be more environmentally friendly. Mice love to chew on it.
