Yes, that looks like a heck of a deal, especially if they knock another grand or two off, would be a steal. ML stereo, Comfort, great looking car!

My new to me 2008 LS460 should be here tomorrow. It left from Vegas on 12/6. Hopefully, I'll get the call. It looks exactly like my last one. BTW, My old car is on the auction block.

When we got it I noted the hold ticket for 1/31 for someone named Keith, so that's probably why it was in the back and why it disappeared on you. Someone was going to snag it, but didn't or it fell through.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the condition of that car. Its 10 years old, but you'd never know it from the interior. Especially since its the light interior, those are hard to keep clean. Its got a small rock pockmark on the rear passenger side bumper, but that's about all I saw.

All the electronics work it seems, air ride goes to high height so the compressor is good. Its got some crap tires on it, but they can be replaced. Seats all move, heaters and coolers work, rear seat entertainment turns on. mirrors fold, doors soft close. The spare has the right rim, its the original though so that's gotta go. ML sounds good, no buzzy's anywhere that I heard. Quiet on the freeway, didn't hear wind noise. Drives straight, brakes threw me for a loop for a moment as I'm used to the grabby F-sport ones, but they seem to work as expected.

I pretty much poked, prodded and touched everything on the car. I think its a good one.Just remember that you have that 30 days of free warranty so mess with everything to find anything that I might have missed so they can sort that out for you. Also, I'd see what they want for a Maxcare extended warranty on it since its 10 years old. If its not too awful, I might get it, that warranty is no-BS awesome and they cover darn near everything that isn't a wearable part (brakes, hoses, etc).
I gotta find out about that Carmax Maxcare extended warranty.

If you decide to go with an extended warranty, that CarMax is a good one, but not sure of the price. When I bought my 12 LS 460 a few months ago, I shopped extensively. CarMax was the only one not available to me, as I didn't buy my car there. I even went as far as calling claims departments, checking on hold time, answers to different types of claim items.
I ended up going with CNA. I shopped their Platinum level policy, which is exclusionary, and ended up getting the best price through a GMC dealer in GA. It does not matter what type of car dealer you buy from. I have also had claims experience with CNA on a MB S500 and a GMC, all excellent. Price was $2,500 for 5 1/2 years/48k miles.

No, I have nothing to do with CNA or the dealer I ended up with. Just trying to provide help to anyone looking, through the extensive legwork I did on these. Feel free to PM me if you want any more info.
Cheers

Check out Doug DeMuro's video on his Range Rover from Carmax - he goes into just how much it cost Carmax to keep it running

There is a big difference when it comes to reliability and cost of maintenance for a Range Rover compared to a LS.

Yes, I just linked the video to show that Carmax will actually honor the warranty without trying to wiggle out of paying, compared to some of the aftermarket companies who try to not pay for anything if they can avoid it.

Not yet, huh?

Bummer.

I'm tapping my foot with you.

The transporter must use Priceline-type routing. Sure, Vegas to the east coast is a decent distance, but if you go to Seattle, first...

It’s amazing how long it takes. They try and fill up a carrier with multiple cars to get the cheapest cost, cars going other places, etc. Mine was supposed to come as of a date, when I called on that date to find out what time I could pick it up it hadn’t even been picked up by the trucking company down in AL. Then they promised it another date, and when I called the day before the dealer said they had called the driver but he was at a doctors appointment. At a doctors appointment?!? How? In a huge car carrier truck?!?
