Thanks, I was wondering about Google Maps and iVIC. Looks like most folks are going with GROM VLine now. I am still keen on Beatsonic because it is for iPhone mirroring, and does not require a separate box to be installed like VLine or iVIC. And, I can get DVD Nav bypass as a part of the same package.

I am actually very interested in your Kuda holder for the smartphone. It looks nicer than a similar holder from Proclaim. Can you please send me the model #? I searched a bit on the Kuda website but couldn't find a holder like yours designed for the LS460. Thanks!

My car is actually a 2011 IS. And that's the mount I have for. What is proclaim? I find most these manufacturers stopped making mounts for newer cars. Been trying to find one for my GFs 2015 RC350. Anyhow here's the link to mine.

LOL, I meant to type Proclip! The evil spellchecker strikes again
The Kuda holders look more elegant than those from Proclip. Kuda doesn't make anything for the LS like the holder for your IS. Also, they only make holders for the 2007-2012 LS, and not for 2013+ cars. I spoke to a Kuda rep, and he said something was in the works for the 2013+ LS.

Default Iphone

What Iphone holder do you use in your 460? Any pics? I use Waze a lot and keep putting my IPhone in the cup holders! Lol

Also, what the hell is an Indy Mechanic, and where would I find one in the metro Det area for future reference? I do use the dealer for oil changes and tire rotation. Black 2013 460 36k. Thanks ahead of time for your Imput.

An "indy mechanic" is an independent mechanic, meaning a small local auto repair shop that isn't a dealer. How do you find one? Shop around, ask for referrals from people you trust, etc.

There is a wide selection of mounts and holders out there. After much research, I selected Proclip (proclipusa.com) for my iPhone 6s.

ProClip Console Mount. #834848. USD $29.99

Adjustable Holder for Small to Medium Cases with Cable Attachment. #514666. USD $59.99

I haven't installed them yet, but they are well designed and manufactured, so I expect they will be just fine.

EDIT: I must thank Roadfrog for suggesting Proclip and Kuda on one of these threads a while back. Otherwise, I would have bought something on Amazon, which does not carry Proclip or Kuda.

I also use the cup holder. I haven't found anything yet that doesn't involve tying up an air vent. I'm still looking.

RZ, the Proclip mount I mentioned above is mounted on the Center console and will not block anything (vents or cupholder). Check it out. I found the Proclip and Kuda mounts to be the most promising. But since Kuda doesn't make one for 2013+ cars, I went with Proclip.

For the 460, we went with a model similar to the one from the link below (the one we got did not have the voltage display). Plugs into the socket and bought a real short USB to iPhone charging cable. Works real well...

Hi Duck, it's great to hear this mount and holder are working well for you. I worry about these cig lighter plug in mounts. With the weight of all the stuff, it cannot be a very durable mount, especially if one is frequently handling the phone to play music, use Google maps etc. The CD mount would appear to be stronger than this. Regardless, I feel the strongest (most durable) mounts are the ones from Proclip and Kuda. I am also not a fan of the gooseneck. Anyways, there is such a wide selection out there, it's pretty much what works best on an individual basis.

Default Iphone 6 Plus holder

I'm using a gooseneck holder for my Iphone 6Plus since I did not want to use one that attaches to the A/C vents. This one goes directly into the car lighter port and is very secure. I wrapped a lightning cord around the gooseneck and secured it with cable ties. So far, it's sturdy and secure enough to hold the bigger Iphone 6Plus without any wobble when I'm driving. By the way, I got it at Marshalls as the box says.

Default Iphone 7 phone holder

This is the best way I have have found to hold an Iphone 7 in any of the vehicles I have had. Works especially will in the SC 430. I got it at Pep Boys for $12.95. It comes with 2 sets of vent clips, (I use the shorter one) and a sticky mount I did not use. Takes a couple of seconds to mount it securely. Now I just drop in the Iphone and pull it out, easily with one hand. The Nav cover opens and closes with no problem. If you use Samsung, this will not work. Iphone 7,6,5... works great.
